Description

The AMRIT SC9S (Scalechanger) harmonium is a premium, traditionally crafted standing
instrument that blends classic design with advanced functionality, making it a favorite among serious musicians and performers. It features 37 keys, offering a broad musical range while maintaining a compact and manageable form. The harmonium is built using traditional standing construction, delivering a bright tone with clear, resonant bass that enhances both solo and accompaniment performances. Equipped with three reed banks—Bass, Male, and Female—in a 3-line configuration, it produces a full, layered sound with rich harmonics. The vertical orientation of the male and female reeds contributes to superior tonal clarity and airflow efficiency. Made from high-quality Burma teak and beech wood, the harmonium combines durability, refined aesthetics, and excellent acoustic properties. It includes 4 air stoppers and 5 drone knobs, offering a variety of tonal effects and the ability to sustain traditional drone notes during performances. A built-in
coupler system enhances the sound by allowing octaves to play simultaneously. The standout feature of the AMRIT SC9S is its scale changer or transpose function, which ranges from +4 to 4,enabling players to effortlessly shift the pitch to match different vocal ranges or keys without changing finger positions. Overall, the AMRIT SC9S (Scalechanger) harmonium represents a perfect harmony of craftsmanship, versatility, and performance quality.
